This weekend was amazing. I am so proud of Robbie and the changes he has made are outstanding. You can tell that he is proud to be part of something bigger than himself.
It was so hard to have to say good bye yesterday. He will be staying in San Antonio for tech school which will last until July. I'm hoping to visit at least once between now and then. I can't wait to know where our first base will be! Until then I'll be busy prepping for my show and going to school.
I worked out at the gym on base, which I loved! I was seriously the only girl in that place so I got a lot of looks from the guys haha but it was awesome I must say! Girls, go lift some weights and show those boys whose boss! The food I got at the commissary was super cheap too. I prepped chicken breast, asparagus, eggs, bought oats, PB and a lot of other essentials and it was $30! Score! I will love that when we live on base. Oh and PB2 is way cheaper at the commissary :) holla!
Unfortunately, I got sick on Friday night. I developed a sore throat. My coach said rest the rest of the time and I couldn't even do cardio. I won't lie, I was bummed. I am so used to having a routine and I've been SO consistent and I'm seeing results but I'm glad I rested up because my throat already feels better and I only missed 2 days of training because I rest Sundays and Mondays. I'm hoping by tomorrow I'll be ready to kill it at the gym! I was so happy that Robbie could tell a difference in how I looked! It made me feel so good. He said it looked like I had been at basic training for 8 weeks. Haha he was the one to fuel my fire. It was so worth it! I stayed on track with my diet and that was great to show discipline while he pigged out on foods he's craved for months. He looked great too! He gained 5 lbs but lost 4 inches in his waste so he was lean. He plans on gaining back the muscle he lost in basic at the gym in tech school.
Here are some pictures from our weekend:
Our first hug. It was such an amazing, emotional moment!
And finally here are some progress pics. I took then Friday morning. 12 weeks of consistency pays off! About 13 more weeks to go!
