How in the world am I about to have a 1 year old?! Savoring this last month with our girl before she is the big 1!!
I didn't write a review last month because nothing much had changed. Her eating habits and sleeping were about the same so I decided to wait and include everything in this post. Now these posts are not my most popular but I love writing them. I love reminiscing on the last month with my girl and writing down the everyday details that a year from now I will most likely have forgetten most of it. Maybe I should start printing these for a baby book??
EAT.
Siena eats everything and anything. She makes it super easy to whip up meals for her because she will really eat anything I offer. She honestly a better eater most days than Noah. She is eating 3 meals of whatever Noah eats or we all eat for dinner and snacks in-between. It's basically like having 2 full toddlers to feed. The only foods I have noticed she doesn't love are eggs and macaroni and cheese is a hit or miss food.
She is still nursing. Her main feedings are first thing the AM and before bed. The two in-between are whether she's interested or not. I have a feeling she'll be ready to wean around a year old but all depends on what happens before bed time. Oh, and I tried out a bottle the other day and she basically thought it was a chew toy haha.
SLEEP.
Siena is still a great sleeper. She is still taking a morning and afternoon nap. Still sleeps best in her crib. I think she is getting several teeth so she's having a little bit of a hard time. She woke up last night and was not a happy camper. I am hoping she gets those toofers soon so she sleeps a little better. She is going to bed after I get Noah down around 8 and waking up between 7/7:30.
The other day she napped one me and this doesn't really happen anymore. I looked down and her little mouth was hanging open and she looked just like my sweet little newborn baby girl. It definitely gave me all the feels. She is such a busy girl and seems so big that it was nice to see my baby.
DEVELOPMENT/WHAT'S NEW
Siena is so sweet and full of sass. She loves to snuggle up to me which I LOVE but girlfriend will deny you kisses all day. She gets hangry like both her parents so she comes by that honestly!
She started taking steps at 9 months and was walking full time at 10 months old...now she is basically running. It is crazy! She is the busiest girl and likes to get herself in trouble. The second anyone leaves the bathroom door open she runs in there so fast just hoping the toilet lid is up. She is an expert climber. We can't keep the kids chairs at our little table anymore because she will climb them and the table. She loves stairs which is reaaaaaal scary. We have gates everywhere but when we're at our friend's house she seeks out the stairs.
She is kind of a stage 5 clinger right now while she is teething so you hear "mama, mama mama" all day and she is wanting to be held nonstop.
She cut her third tooth on the top this past month and I have a feeling more are coming. Teething has been easy until this point. She has had a rough day or two so I am hoping those teeth will be here soon!
She loves to wave hi and bye and it is SO adorable.
She shakes her head "no" now and it is pretty funny. She will do it even when she DOES want something. It just takes until the second or third time offering it. haha. Today I asked her for a kiss and she shook her head "no" and trust me she meant it...little stinker.
FAVORITES.
- her bunny! She is obsessed with that soft luvie.
- Mama. I am kind of her fav ;)
- Water! This girl loves the water! She is my little fishy and so good in the bathtub. Noah hated water on his head at her age and she gets it dumped on her head by Noah and she totally doesn't care. Gotta love big brothers, right?
- Her sippy cup. She loves to drink water from her cup or her brother's...because bat man is much cooler
- climbing! She is an expert climber. She loves to climb at the play ground and on really anything she can get footing on. I joke around that if she could find the hand and foot placement she would climb the walls!
- Being outside. Siena LOVES to be outside. She would hang in the backyard all day if I let her!
MY SWEET GIRL.
I could go on and on about how much I love you and life with you in it. You have the perfect blend of sweet and spicey and just the best baby. You give me bad baby fever because you are so sweet! I can't wait to see what kind you do this month to make us smile and laugh. I can't believe you are almost ONE but I am so grateful for this amazing first year with you. Love you so much baby girl.
