I wanted to share the photos I took of my boy earlier this week. Gosh, he just gets more handsome every day! We took him down the street to one of my favorite spots. There is the cutest bench on the corner and it was perfect for what I was going for!
I am definitely not a professional but I really enjoy capturing special Holiday moments and everyday moments for that matter. I'm always so thankful for the photos I have of our family!
When we got home we dyed our eggs. Noah is still pretty little for this. He wanted to put the eggs in his mouth haha. We decided it was more fun to decorate Noah instead of the eggs!! I think next year will be a little more fun for him and I will definitely start incorporating more Easter traditions.
Yesterday we went to Breakfast with the Bunny at the bowling alley on base. Noah LOVES to bowl...well at least the first 3 turns before he's over it haha so we thought it would be fun. Noah wanted nothing to do with the Easter Bunny. He started crying while being held next to him so we didn't make him sit on his lap. I was wondering what his reaction would be since he hated Santa this past year. It was fun to have something to do since Robbie had to work today.
Today I made Noah and I baked ziti for Easter dinner. It was really good and not as unhealthy as the usual recipe I use. I was able to really cut down on calories and honestly it tasted amazing!! I'm excited for Robbie to have some tomorrow since he's off. Military life can be hard on Holidays but it makes me that much more thankful for the time we do spend together as well as all the men and women who aren't home to spend the Holidays with their families.
All things bunnies, chocolate and eggs are SO fun I feel it's really important to be remembering the real reason for Easter. Isn't is funny how commercialised Holidays have become? I see parents giving bikes, iPads and tons of toys for Easter. Like whoa!! I don't think I will ever go that crazy. All those things are fun but we need to remember why this Holiday really exists.
I am so thankful for Jesus making the ultimate sacrifice for ALL of us. I want to make sure Noah and all our future kids understand that. This year he too little to understand but next year I will definitely begin incorporating more emphasis on the story of Jesus's resurrection. I made sure to buy a few children's books about the real meaning of Christmas and I'm kicking myself for not looking for any for Easter.
