How Far Along? 17 weeks 1 day
Weight Gain? So I went to the doctor last week and finally saw that scary number on the scale. Ya'll I have already gained 15 lbs! That's like a pound a week. It's crazy how your body composition can be so different even with some weight gain because my pants are still fitting but just now becoming uncomfortable to button. The weight gain isn't bothering me too much because I think it's just what my body likes to do when pregnant. I am working out often and really trying to eat well so the rest is up to this little babe and my body. I gained quite a bit with Noah and lost it all and then some so I am not worried about that. I am going to try to keep the weight down if possible. Part of me wanted to say, "screw it" and eat what I want since I'm gaining regardless but I know I won't feel my best, have my best workouts and it's not what the baby needs.
Workouts: Modified cross fit, spin at least twice per week and some lifting. I am going to start teaching my own spin class soon and I am so excited/nervous. I know I just need to do that first one to get over any fears and figure out my style.
Maternity: I have two pairs of pants I am wearing here and there and then a pair of jeans that aren't maternity that are still comfortable to button. The rest of my non maternity pants tho are about to be retired until after the baby comes. I am def not going to be uncomfortable just to say I am not wearing maternity! I do have belly band tho I will most likely use. It is finally warming up here so I will soon be living in dresses and skirts!
Sleep: Give me all the coffee! Some days my energy is better than others but I can def drag. Sleep at night tho is really good. My new bed time needs to be 8 pm to not be so dang tired, but will that happen? Prob not.
Best Moment This Week: Seeing our potential bases for stateside. There are two we wouldn't mind getting so fingers crossed!
Cravings: Sweets always. Sometimes salty too. Yesterday I gave in and made brownies and crumbled sea salt kettle chips on top. My husband looked at me like I was crazy. Don't worry the brownies are in the freezer not tempting me...too much.
Symptoms: For some reason my left side gets the rough end of the deal when it comes to circulation. I wake up at night to wake up my left hand/arm sometimes multiple times. I am also getting two lovely varicose veins on the back of my left thigh. I had them with Noah as well. They went away after he was born. I was def not thrilled to see them bulging their way back.
Looking Forward To: A week full of sunshine (mostly...I think we have 1 rainy day). Spring time in Italy is my favorite. The weather is perfect and we love to be outside around here! Soaking it up since it is probably our last one here!
