Breastfeeding and the Importance of a Good Probiotic
This post is sponsored by Evivo, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
I have nursed all of my babies so far and plan to nurse this next bundle that could arrive any day now. I love the connection I have with my babies while nursing, once over coming the initial hurdles that come with a new baby learning to breastfeed ,of course. It is definitely not an easy feat, but once we reach a groove it's awesome! You can read about my tips for breastfeeding here.
One thing I didn't realize when nursing my babies is that they are still needing a good probiotic. I always assumed that baby would get lots of good nutrition and antibodies from my breastmilk and that would be enough, and although that is partially true the baby still needs a probiotic to keep it's gut healthy. I hear all the time that a lot of your health is defined by how healthy your gut is! So of course you want to give your baby a healthy head start within the first 6 momyhs of life.
Thankfully I have found Evivo probiotic just in time for baby #3! Evivo is specifically for breastfed babies containing B infantis, which is often times missing from the gut. In fact, these days only 1 in 10 babies are born with the important B infantis strain.
All I have to do is mix Evivo with my breastmilk and it helps release nutrients in the breastmilk to help form a protective environment in the gut. It also helps build a strong immune system and sets the baby up for better health for life!
I am so relieved to have a probiotic that protect from harmful bacteria that is linked to asthma, allergies, obesity and diabetes.
If you're a nursing mama or plan to be one I encourage you to check out Evivo for your baby!

39 Weeks | Final Bumpdate & Maternity Photos
Everyday I'm Waddlin'!
I'm officially 39 weeks and actually pretty surprised I am still pregnant! This pregnancy has been my most uncomfortable and I've had lots of contractions early on, leading me to believe that baby would join us on the earlier side. Siena came on her own at 38 weeks ready to go and hasn't slowed down since!! I was induced with Noah at 39 weeks because of my blood pressure suddenly elevating, so this is the most pregnant I have ever been! It is crazy how each pregnancy and baby is so different. Maybe this means this baby will be laid back and chill ; ) a mom can dream, right?
Or maybe it just hears the chaos happening on the outside and feels it's siblings jumping on my belly all day that it's scared to come out haha. I don't blame ya, there baby.
I apparently look giant because the looks I have received the last few days have been like I might explode at any second. I have had someone ask me if I am overdue because the baby is so low and just lots of other comments about if I am close to being done. You know, what every pregnant person wants to hear! ha.
SYMPTOMS
Lots of contractions. Hoping this is leading me to labor soon! I don't get the real deal super painful ones until my water breaks, but they are definitely getting more intense as the days go by! I was in for monitoring last week (I'll share more on this later if it turns into anything) but I was contracting every 6 minutes, so hopefully that is making me progress!
Freakin' HEARTBURN. I am so over it. I have never had heartburn before so I know it could be way worse, but I went from just getting it in the evenings to pretty much all day. I feel like big chunks of fire are just stuck in my throat. yuck. This kid better have more hair than it's siblings did at birth or I might be a little annoyed haha.
I am still so tired. This pregnancy has been a doozy as far as tiredness goes. At least I'll be ready for a newborn! <-----sarcasm :)
Lot's of pressure since baby has dropped super low.
Just basically all the fun end of pregnancy stuff! Unisom is my best friend to avoid insomnia and from tossing and turning from being so uncomfortable.
CRAVINGS
I am currently dying for a strawberry Fanta haha, but I have to drink bubbles at my own risk...because, heart burn.
Fries with chic fila sauce and ice cream. Ya, know all the healthy stuff! ;) I am still drinking lots of shakes tho to fill in those gaps!
WEIGHT GAIN
I've been packing it on now that I am at the end. I didn't gain anything for the longest time. Now I am up about 20-25 lbs. Def not as bad as it could be but I started out much heavier than my "normal". I am excited to get back into working out once baby is here and I am all healed. I am a huge believer in not rushing your postpartum body!
DEAR BABY,
We are so excited to meet you! Boy or girl, you are already SO loved. Your big brother and sister talk about you all the time and I know you will fit right into our crazy little clan. Although this pregnancy and just life in general has been a little bit rough at times, I know that you are exactly what we need in this moment. A perfect blessing planned by God. You are an answered prayer. I dream of what your face will look like, if you'll have hair when you're born and if you'll look more like your big brother or sister (or maybe a combo of both?!). The anticipation is getting real, but I am content having you wait until you are ready to join us. Until then I'll continue to feel you hiccup and dance inside my belly. I can't wait to kiss your cheeks and cuddle you close. We love you little one!!
MATERNITY PHOTOS
I almost didn't get pictures done this time, but decided I might regret it later so I booked some last minute! I am 36 weeks in these and pretty big looking. I am so glad I did it tho. This is our first baby born in the states and in Arizona at that, so we tried to go for more desert looking pics this time. Love how bright they turned out!
The kids look so cute! It is kind of hard to believe Siena will be a big sis soon! She loves using this belly as a pillow, but I think she will be thrilled to have a baby around. Noah is excited but I don't think he really cares either way. I am excited to see them with their new baby soon and embrace the total chaos that I am sure it will be!
My not to little baby girl! She is so tall!
One of my favs!
I love this picture SO much! Siena can be so shy even tho she has the goofiest personality, so I am excited she got one of her smiling and one of Robbie's real smile too! They are the cutest.
Love how the kids are looking at each other!
So blessed to have babies with the love of my life!! He is the best daddy.
