Breastfeeding and the Importance of a Good Probiotic
This post is sponsored by Evivo, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
I have nursed all of my babies so far and plan to nurse this next bundle that could arrive any day now. I love the connection I have with my babies while nursing, once over coming the initial hurdles that come with a new baby learning to breastfeed ,of course. It is definitely not an easy feat, but once we reach a groove it's awesome! You can read about my tips for breastfeeding here.
One thing I didn't realize when nursing my babies is that they are still needing a good probiotic. I always assumed that baby would get lots of good nutrition and antibodies from my breastmilk and that would be enough, and although that is partially true the baby still needs a probiotic to keep it's gut healthy. I hear all the time that a lot of your health is defined by how healthy your gut is! So of course you want to give your baby a healthy head start within the first 6 momyhs of life.
Thankfully I have found Evivo probiotic just in time for baby #3! Evivo is specifically for breastfed babies containing B infantis, which is often times missing from the gut. In fact, these days only 1 in 10 babies are born with the important B infantis strain.
All I have to do is mix Evivo with my breastmilk and it helps release nutrients in the breastmilk to help form a protective environment in the gut. It also helps build a strong immune system and sets the baby up for better health for life!
I am so relieved to have a probiotic that protect from harmful bacteria that is linked to asthma, allergies, obesity and diabetes.
If you're a nursing mama or plan to be one I encourage you to check out Evivo for your baby!
