First of all, my wedding was AMAZING! Everything I could have dreamed and more! Yes, there were minor hiccups in the day but overall nothing huge went wrong and I am so grateful. I am now married to my best friend and couldn't be any happier. My new last name is Pisano : ) I can't change it on my page because I have over 200 followers so I may have to stay Gray on there! lol
We decided to save money and have our honeymoon in San Diego! It was soo much fun! I love California and we are trying to have a 5 year plan to live there because we didn't want to come home! During our trip we ate lots of great food, visited the beach a few times (San Diego, Carlsbad and La Jolla), went to the San Diego Zoo and I got a tattoo. Yep, a tattoo. We had just finished dinner in Little Italy and we couldn't decide what to do that night. I jokingly said, "let's get me a tattoo!" and of course Robbie was all for it so we looked somewhere up and went. We parked on a street downtown where several parlors were located and most of them were closed except one. Robbie thought for sure I would wimp out because I don't do crazy stuff like tattoos! haha. I've known for a long time that if I ever got a tattoo it would have to mean something to me. I didn't just want anything random or "cute". I decided over 6 months ago that the kanji symbol for strength would be my tattoo if I ever got one. I have been through a lot and have become stronger with every decision and trial life has thrown at me. I have become stronger in the gym and truly discovered the type of person I want to be so this symbol is perfect for me. I was between a few places to have it and my first choice was the back of my neck and that ended up being where I got it. The guy who did the tattoo was very patient and nice especially because he knew this was my first time getting "inked". I am not going to lie the outline was a little painful, but by the time he began the shading it didn't hurt anymore. I was so proud of myself for just going for it and being spontaneous with my new husband! We created a memory we will never forget.

After being home for a few days I was soo hot. The weather in Cali rocks compared to Phoenix in the summer. My hair was driving me crazy! I've had long hair my whole life so I was feeling like it was time for a change. Especially after the wedding and showing off my long locks I figured why not! So I convinced my sister to cut her hair too! We went on Saturday without telling a soul (everyone tried convincing us not to cut our long hair when we talked about cutting it) and donated our hair to locks of love. I actually love my hair cut and feel even better that my long hair went to make a whig for a child.
What do you think?! |
Life is too short to not eat good food on vacation, get a tattoo that means something to you and chop your hair off!! I seriously feel like I have branched out so much in the last 2 weeks. Look what being a married woman does to me! haha.
In my next post I will discuss what my new goal will be and how I want to accomplish it! : )
XOXO,
E
